Environmental protection is fundamental for the quality of life of the present and future generations. The challenge is to combine conservation with the continuing economic growth needs in a sustainable way and in a long term. Facing climate change, such challenge exacerbates increasingly. The EU environmental policy is based on the belief that strict environmental rules encourage innovation and entrepreneurial opportunities, as well as the economic, industrial, social and environmental policies should be closely integrated. For the EU, it’s a priority to fight against climate change, preserve biodiversity, reduce the impact of pollution on health and optimize the use of natural resources.
ISES supports the Forestry Institute of Castelnuovo Bormida to promote sustainable environmental management. Moreover, ISES helps its partners in projects for interventions aimed at reducing environmental impact.
ISES activities to promote environmental are:
- to encourage chain projects that protect environment;
- to promote the environmental certification systems;
- to develop projects for the protection and conservation of biodiversity and natural resources;
- to promote sustainable development;
- to develop educational projects focused on environmental education.
