EU network to promote training courses for national judges
The project aimed to increase the knowledge of national judges coming from New EU Members States and the to promote the cooperation between the judicial authorities and public/private bodies responsible for encouraging or monitoring the proper application of EC competition law.
In line with the aforementioned expectations of the European Commission, CODACONS and ISES submitted to EC a project proposal aiming at provided for may take the form of, for example:
• organizing three training courses on EC competition law for national judges and third parties;
• organizing a summer school on EC competition law for national judges;
• providing a guide for national judges coming from New EU Member States on EC Competition Law with analysis of the pitfalls and practical solutions for compliance specifically tailored to the needs of national judges;
• promoting the cooperation, including the setting-up of networks and/or databases, between judicial authorities and public or private bodies responsible for encouraging or monitoring the proper application of EC competition law by national judges.
